Bashundhara Cement, a product of country’s leading Bashundhara Group, is set to be used to construct Rooppur nuclear power plant, the first nuclear project of the country.
A deal was signed between Bashundhara Cement and Freyssinet Menard Northern Emirates LLC yesterday in this regard.
Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan and Freyssinet Menard Northern Emirates LLC Area Director Olivier Bechet signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides at Le Meridien hotel in the capital.
Under the deal, Bashundhara Cement will supply a total of 300000 metric tonnes of cement for the much awaited nuclear power plant in Pabna's Ishwardi, according to the officials of Bashundhara Group.
Bashundhara Cement is produced in VRM process maintaining high quality which already has won the heart of thousands of its consumers.
Bashundhara Cement was earlier used to build the Padma Bridge and Elevated Expressway Project, the two largest projects in the country.
Among others, Bashundhara Group Senior Deputy Managing Director Belayet Hossain, Adviser of Bashundhara Group Major General (Retd) Mahbub Haider, Adviser (Treasurer) Maynal Hossain Chowdhury, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Md Tofail Hossain, Head of Sales (Cement Sector) Khandker Kingshuk Hossain, Deputy General Manager (Technical Support) Saroj Kumar Barua, Freyssinet Menard Northern Emirates LLC Deputy Managing Director Cyril Plomteux, startup Project Manager Pascal Martin Daguet, Project Manager Kiril Tushin, Kaler Kantho Editor Imdadul Haq Milon and daily sun Editor Enamul Hoque Chowdhury, were also present at the signing ceremony.
