Bangladesh Kalyan Party Secretary General MM Aminur Rahman, who had gone missing nearly four months ago, was arrested by detectives from Gulshan’s Shahjadpur area in the capital on Friday night.
A team of Detective Branch of police of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested Aminur from near ‘Suvastu Tower’ around 11:40 pm, said Deputy Commissioner (Media) of the DMP Masudur Rahman, reports UNB.
He was shown arrested in a case filed with Gulshan Police station in February, 2015 in connection with the attack on Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan.
Aminur’s brother MM Mizanur Rahman told media that DB police informed them over phone around 12 pm that they arrested him last night. Later, he talked to his brother over phone.
DB police also told Mizanur that Aminur will be sent to court.
Aminur went missing after coming out of the party office in Nayapaltan on August 27.
