All outdoor programmes, including meetings and music concerts, will not be allowed on the upcoming 31st night, says Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.

The home boss came up with the warning while talking with reporters after inaugurating the ‘Dhaka Metropolitan Shooting Club’ at Bangladesh Police Officers' Mess at Ramna area in the capital today.

He also said: “The restriction has been slapped on security ground to avert any kind of untoward incident on the event.”

Earlier the government has decided to arrange tight security countrywide for celebrations of the Christmas Day and the 31st December.

He earlier said: “No bar will be allowed to open in the 31st night and no one can carry and show their licensed firearm.”

He had said: “Movement in Baridhara, Banani, Gulshan and Dhaka University campus areas will be restricted for non-residents in the night.”

“Additional police force will also be deployed in Banani, Gulshan, Dhanmondi, and Baridhara areas,” Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal further said.
