State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Narayan Chandra Chanda, AKM Shahjahan Kamal, an MP from Laxmipur-3 constituency, Rajbari-1 MP Kazi Keramat Ali and IT expert Mustafa Jabbar are scheduled to take oath as ministers at Bangabhaban today.
They have been invited to remain present at Bangabhaban in the capital for taking oath around 6:30pm.
Of the four, one will be promoted to a full minister while two more will be new ministers and the fourth will be a state minister according to multiple sources form the government.
In the oath-taking ceremony, Narayon Chandra Chanda will be promoted to minister while Mustafa Jabbar, 68, president of the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), will be made a technocrat minister today.
The initiatives came to infuse dynamism into government activities ahead of the next general election.
