Narayon Chandra Chanda, AKM Shahjahan Kamal, an MP from Laxmipur-3 constituency, and IT expert Mustafa Jabbar were sworn in as ministers while Rajbari-1 MP Kazi Keramat Ali was sworn in as a state minister today.
President Abdul Hamid administered the oath-taking ceremony around 6:30pm at the Darbar hall of the Bangabhaban on the presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Earlier they have been invited to remain present at Bangabhaban in the capital for taking the oath.
Of the four, one was promoted to a full minister while two more as new ministers and the fourth as a state minister according to multiple sources form the government.
In the oath-taking ceremony, Narayon Chandra Chanda was promoted to minister while Mustafa Jabbar, 68, president of the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), made a technocrat minister.
The initiatives came to infuse dynamism into government activities ahead of the next general election.
