The newly inducted Posts,Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister, Mustafa Jabbar, today said conventional education system is needed to be changed for developing the student as more skilful.
"We couldn't build up the future generation properly for their livelihood with the existing education system . . . so the curricula and teaching method of education should be made time befitting," he added.
The noted IT personality who was appointed as minister on Tuesday stated this at the Silver Jubilee festival of Greater Mymensingh Sangskritik Forum (GMSF) at Public Library in the city.
Mustafa Jabbar assured the GMSF of establishing an international folk cultural centre in Mymensingh.
He inaugurated a colorful rally as part of the festival on the premises of public library.
Later, a discussion meeting was held at the Public Library Auditorium with GMSF president and posts, telecommunications and information technology minister in the chair.
Chief Coordinator (SDG) of the Prime Minister's Office Md Abul Kalam Azad spoke on the occasion as the chief guest.
Shipping Secretary Abdus Samad, Kazi Nazrul University Vice Chancellor A K M Mustafizur Rahman and GMSF General Secretary Rashedul Hasan Sheli, among others, also spoke.
