The gold prices will go up by nearly Tk 1,400 a bhori in the local market from today to reflect the rising bullion prices in the local market in recent weeks.
A press release from the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has confirmed the news on Tuesday
Earlier on December 24, the gold prices also went up by Tk 1,517 a bhori in the local market.
This is the first rise of gold and silver prices in 2018.
Each bhori or 11.66g of 22-karat gold will now be sold at Tk 50, 738, according to the new rates.
The price of 21-karat and 18-karat will be Tk 48,405 and Tk 43, 157 respectively, the release added.
