Country’s per capita income rises to $1,752, which was $1,610 in the last fiscal year, Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said on Tuesday.
Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal briefed the reporters after a meeting of the National Economic Council held in the capital’s Agargaon this morning.
The government has estimated 7.65 percent economic growth for the current fiscal year when the government had set a target of 7.4 percent GDP growth in the budget.
Earlier, the per capita income rose to $1,602 while for the fiscal year 2015-16, the GDP growth was 7.02 percent.
In 2016-17 fiscal year, the country’s economic growth accelerated to 7.28 percent while provisional data put the GDP growth at 7.24 percent.
