The today’s session of the Jatiya Sangsad has been adjourned due to a rare power outage over three hours in the parliament building in Dhaka.
Most of the blocks of the parliament got power outage around 3.45pm on the day.
The parliamentary session was scheduled to begin at 5pm, but was delayed and it began at 5:10pm with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.
After the power disruption, Deputy Speaker Fazle Rabbi Miah, who was in the chair at that time, suspended the remaining proceedings of the day’s session at 6.15pm.
The parliamentary session is scheduled to resume at 5pm on Wednesday (tomorrow).
