The body of noted singer, lyricist and composer Ayub Bachchu is scheduled to be flown to his ancestral residence in Chattogram today.
The rockstar will be buried at his family graveyard in the port city on Saturday (today).
LRB Band Manager Shamim Ahmed has confirmed the news.
The 1st namaz-e-janaza of the legendary singer was held at the National Eidgah premises adjacent to the High Court in the capital after Jumma prayers yesterday.
Earlier in the day, people from all walks of life had paid their last tributes to the popular rock star at Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka.
Ayub Bachchu and also the founder of the country's one of the leading bands, LRB, passed away on October 18 (Thursday). He was 60.
He breathed his last in the capital's Square Hospitals around 10 am on the day.
According to family sources, he was found unconscious inside his room in the capital's Moghbazar area on the day morning and was rushed to the hospital where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
LRB Band Manager Shamim had said: "The legendary singer suffered a massive stroke."
He is set to be laid to rest beside his mother's grave in Chattrogram.
Born in Chattogram, the popular singer started his music career there with the band, Feelings, in 1978. He was a member of Souls as lead guitarist from 1980 to 1990. In 1991, he formed his own band, LRB.
LRB released its first album containing hard rock songs like "Madhobi" "Hoker" "Sesh Cithi keno amon Cithi hoy" "Happy" and "Dhakar Sondha".
