The authorities of the Election Commission on Thursday sat in a meeting with members of law enforcement agencies to discuss their responsibilities ahead of the upcoming 11th parliamentary polls slated to be held on December 30.
The meeting was started at 10:30am at the Election Commission headquarters at Agargaon, Dhaka.
Four commissioners of the EC, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Secretary of Public Security Division of the Home Ministry, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) commissioner and other high officials of different law enforcement agencies were expected to attend the meeting.
The EC sources yesterday said, a set of 12 directives would be delivered at the meeting to maintain peaceful law and order ahead of the 11th parliamentary polls.
On November 8, a fresh election schedule was announced by the Election Commission and according to the new date, the general election would be held on December 30.
