Bangladesh A beat Ireland A by 8 wickets in the rescheduled third one-dayer at Sheikh Kamal International Stadium Academy Ground, Cox’s Bazar. Bangladesh A lead the 5-match series 2-0.
Subashis Roy gave the first breakthrough to Bangladesh A by dismissing James Shannon on 4. Ireland A were in trouble after losing 6 wickets for 54, according to BCB.
But Andrew Bilbrinie’s 50 and Shane Getkate’s 23 helped Ireland A to surpass the 100 runs mark. Eventually they were bowled out for 103 in 35.4 overs. Abu Haydar Rony picked up 3 wickets for 29. Sanzamul Islam and Tanvir Haider shared 2 wickets each.
Chasing 104, Bangladesh A lost the first wicket of Anamul Haque on 33. Sadman Islam was dismissed after scoring 24. Skipper Nazmul Hossain and Al-Amin Jr.’s unbeaten 26 runs partnership in the third wicket helped Bangladesh A to secure a comfortable 8 wicket victory in 23 overs.
Nazmul was not out on 41 and Al-Amin Jr. was on 14.
The 4th and 5th match will be held on 25 and 26 October respectively. All matches have now been shifted to SICS Academy Ground.
