Imrul, Buttler stun Chittagong Vikings with six-wicket win

Comilla Victorians thrashed Chittagong Vikings by six wickets in the 14th match of the Bangladesh Premier League, 2017 in Dhaka.

Chasing 139 runs they reached their target in 18.1 overs losing four wickets at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

For Victorians Imrul Kayes slammed three sixes with two boundaries and scored 45 runs off 36 balls when Jos Buttler scored 44 runs of 31 with three boundaries and two sixes.

Chittagong Vikings earlier scored 139 runs losing four wickets in all 20 overs after they were sent into bat first against Comilla Victorians in the 14th match.

Soumya Sarkar scored 30 runs off 32 balls smashing two boundaries and one six while Luke Ronchi (wk) hit five boundaries with one six scoring 31 runs off 19 for Chittagong.

Comilla Victorians won the toss and opted to field first against Chittagong Vikings.

In today’s play, Tamim Iqbal returns for Comilla Victorians while for Chittagong, Luis Reece has not played and Chris Jordan has come in.

For Tamim, this is first game of the current BPL season, following a recovery from a thigh injury he sustained during the South Africa tour.
