Earlier, winning the toss captain Mahmudullah opted to bowl against Sri Lanka in the hosts' first international in Sylhet.
Batting first Sri Lankan batsman set a mammoth target of 211 runs. Kusal Mendis hit 70 runs off 42 balls with 6 over boundaries and 4 boundaries while Gunathilaka, Tishara Perera and Shanka added 42, 31 and 30 runs respectively.
Soumya, Mustafizur, Abu Jayed and Saifuddin equally shared four wickets respectively for 25, 39, 45 and 46 runs.
Coming to bat no Bangladeshi batsman managed to score big, become all-out for 135 runs in 18.4 Overs. Captain Mahmudullah scored 41 runs while Tamim Iqbal added 29 runs and Saifuddin scored 20 runs respectively for Bangladesh.
Madushanka and Gunathilaka picked up 2 wickets respectively for Sri Lanka to tie Bangladesh for 135 runs.
Kusal Mendis awarded both man of the match and man of the tournament for his outstanding batting in the series.
