Bangladesh suffered a seven-wicket defeat to the world champion West Indies in the first T20I of the three-match series at Warner Park in St Kitts today.
West Indies chased down 91-run target (D/L method) with seven wickets in hands, Thanks to brilliant batting from Andre Russell (35*) and Marlon Samuels (26).
For Bangladesh, Mustafizur Rahman took two wickets while Rubel Hossain captured one wicket.
Earlier, Bangladesh set a 144-run target for the host West Indies.
Puting into bat first, Bangladesh lost Tamim and Soumya in the very first over. Liton Das and Shakib bailed them out of the iffy situation but the duo failed to kick-on, despite getting a start.
