Bangladesh Premier League franchise Sylhet Sixers have roped in David Warner for the upcoming edition of tournament, scheduled to start from January 5.
''We believe he is a player of great impact especially when it comes to T20 cricket,'' Sixers CEO Yasir Obaid said, confirming to Cricbuzz about Warner's signing on Friday (October 26).
Obaid also confirmed the services of Nepal legspinner Sandeep Lamichhane as their second foreign signing outside the draft.
''I am very excited to let you know that I am part a Sixers. I cannot wait to be part of Sylhet Sixers family,'' Warner was quoted in a video post in the Sixers official Facebook page.
Sixers, who retained Nasir Hossain and Sabbir Rahman along with Sohail Tanvir, also bolstered their strength by signing Liton Das, who was released by Comilla Victorians. The players draft is schedule to take place on October 26.
