Dhaka Dynamites have thrashed the defending champions Rangpur Riders and won by two runs of the day’s play in the Bangladesh Premier League 2019 at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka.
With bat Dhaka Dynamites set 184-run target against the defending champions Rangpur Riders though they didn't get off to a good start of the day’s play.
They scored 183/9 in all 20 overs with Kieron Pollard’s highest 62 off 26. Shakib Al Hasan hit 4 fours with 36 runs of 37 against the Riders.
The defending champions, on the other hand, managed to score 181/9 when Rilee Rossouw propped them up with a blistering 44-ball 83 in response but was in vain finally.
Aliss Islam has taken a hat-trick for the Dhaka Dynamites while Mohammad Mithun scored the second highest 49 runs off 35 hitting two sixes and one four for the Rangpur Riders.
The encounter between Riders, the defending champions, and current runners-up Dynamites was started at 2pm while the both of them are considered the strongest teams of this year’s Bangladesh Premiere League.
In today’s play, Dynamites had players like Andre Russel, Keiron Pollard and Sunil Narine while Chris Gayle, Rilee Rossouw and Ravi Bopara for the other side.
