The ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia route of Padma River have been resumed at 8am today, after more than two hours of disruption caused by dense fog.
Sources from the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) at Daulatdia office have confirmed the news.
Due to dense fog at the Paturia-Daulatdia route, the ferry services were disrupted from 5am to 8am on Monday, said Mohiuddin Rasel from Daulatdia office.
He also said: “Different ferries in Paturia ghat and Daulatdia ghat remained stranded while hundreds of other vehicles were waiting on both sides for crossing the river causing immense suffering to the commuters.”
“When the dense fog was disappeared, the ferry services were resumed after 8am,” he further said.
