Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today said Bangladesh’s ongoing development activities in attaining all three criteria for graduation from the least-developed country (LDC) group to developing one will continue.
She said: "Being recognised as a developing country is a matter of pride and we will make it happen in a short time."
Pointing to the country’s recent recognition as a developing nation, she said: “Bangladesh has formally started its journey as a developing country and this recognition is a pride for us.”
The premier came up with the comments while addressing a public rally in Patiya upazila of Chittagong on Wednesday.
“We made Bangladesh a digital one as per our commitment given to the countrymen,” she added.
Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated BNA Bangabandhu Complex at Bangladesh Naval Academy (BNA) in Chittagong.
The complex has 16 buildings and other infrastructures for academic activities and training as well as residential purposes, sources confirmed.
