Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will go to Chandpur on a daylong visit today to join the 6th National Community Development Camp (COMDECA) of Bangladesh Scouts, open 23 development projects and lay the foundation of 24 other schemes in the district.
On arrival at Haimchar upazila in the southeastern district in the morning by a helicopter, the Prime Minister will join the inaugural function of the 6th COMDECA at Charbhanga, according to earlier reports of BSS.
She will later go to the Chandpur district headquarters in the afternoon and inaugurate 23 development projects and lay the foundation of 24 other schemes from Chandpur Stadium.
Sheikh Hasina, also the Awami League president, will address a public rally to be organized by district Awami League at the same venue.
The roads of the district town and Haimchar upazila have been decorated with archways, billboards, colorful digital banners and festoons.
The portraits of Bangabandhu and Sheikh Hasina alongside development activities of the present government have been put on the display in the archways, billboards, banners and festoons.
Besides, the leaders seeking party nominations in the upcoming parliamentary elections set up a number of archways welcoming the Awami League president.
