The 55-year-old lawyer Rathish Chandra reported missing on March 30 was found dead late on Tuesday inside an under-construction building at Mollapara area of Rangpur.
A team of RAB-13 has recovered the body in the night from the under-construction building adjacent to the Kotwali Police Station in Rangpur, a day after the arrest of his schoolteacher wife Dipa Bhowmik and two of her colleagues.
RAB-13 commander Major Armin Rabbi has confirmed the news.
He said: “The body was recovered from an under-construction building at Tajhat in the city according to the statement provided by Rathish’s wife.”
Rathish Chandra and also the law affairs secretary of Rangpur Awami League was the public prosecutor of Japanese National Kunio Hoshi and Khadem Rahmat Ali murder cases.
RAB sources primarily hinted that Dipa Bhowmik’s extramarital affairs had a hand in Rathish murder.
