Pass rate drops by 9.41pc in JSC, JDC tests

The pass rate in this years’ Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dhakil Certificate (JDC) examinations has been dropped by 9.41 percent from the previous year.

A total of 1,91,628 students got GPA-5 in this years’ Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations.

The results of JSC and JDC examinations-2017 have been published today with 83.65 percent pass rate this year.

The success rate in 2016 was 93.06 percent in the tests.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the copy of the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina this morning.

Private TV channel NEWS24, a sister concern of the Daily Kalerkantho, has reported the result.

The examinations were started on November 1 and continued till November 18.

Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, and Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board have published the routines of the examinations on August 23, 2017.

Some 2,468,820 examinees — 1,144,778 males and 1,324,042 females — sat in the Junior School Certificate and Junior Dakhil Certificate examinations this year.
