Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said that his ministry has decided to shut down all coaching centers across the country from tomorrow to prevent the incidents of question paper leakage.
The ministry’s move came a week ahead of the SSC and equivalent examinations scheduled to be started from February 1.
The minister came up with the comments while talking with reporters after a meeting held at his secretariat office in the capital on Thursday.
On January 23, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid also said the government will block accessing popular social networking sites including Facebook and Tweeter during the upcoming SSC exams.
Country’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations of 2018 are scheduled to begin on February 1.
According to the schedule, the theoretical parts of the exams will end on February 24.
Earlier, the government rescheduled two examinations of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) scheduled for February 24 and 25 due to the scheduled Dhaka North City Corporation's mayor by-election.
As, in its order, the High Court has suspended this election for three months, the SSC and equivalent examinations will now begin as per the previous schedule (Feb 1).
