Miss World Bangladesh Jessia Islam, who is representing the country in the Miss World 2017 contest, has secured her place among the first eight Head to Head Challenge winners.
By becoming the Group 6 winner, she automatically qualified for the Top 40 at the Live Miss World Final scheduled to be held on 18th November 2017.
A note published on the official website of the beauty pageant read: "On the Miss World Top Model stage, the winners of the 8 Head to Head Challenge winners were announced. They are--Group 1 Winner - ITALY; Group 2 Winner - ARGENTINA; Group 3 Winner - NEPAL; Group 4 Winner - FRANCE; Group 5 Winner - COLOMBIA; Group 6 Winner - BANGLADESH; Group 7 Winner - MACAU CHINA; Group 8 Winner - MONGOLIA."
Besides, the beauty queen herself made the announcement on her Facebook account.
She wrote: "By the grace of Almighty Allah and prayers of my beloved friends, family & country I have been selected for top 40 in miss world 2017 and winner of the head to head challenge. Keep me in your prayers."
Earlier the voting closed for groups 1 to 8 in the Head to Head Challenge.
