A producer has placed complaint letters with three different film-related associations against the Dhallywood sensations Apu Biswas and Shakib Khan for not maintaining the schedule.
Moniruzzaman, the producer of "My Darling" movie has sent the letter to Bangladesh Film Producers Association, Directors Association and Actors association on March 20.
According to the letter, the progress of "My Darling," starring Shakib and Apu, has stopped right in the middle as both the actor are unavailable for shooting.
It stated that the producer has requested them several times in this regard but he failed to get any response.
Moniruzzaman in his letters writes:"Dragon Entertainment signed the contract with Apu-Shakib on September 1, 2003. Shooting started on January 1, 2014, under the direction of Montazur Rahman Akbar. After completing 70 percent of the movie, the shooting stopped due to Shakib-Apu's inconvenience. They made the delay seeking many excuses. At one stage, Dragon Entertainment paid Shakib Khan Tk500,000 more in order to make the work faster. But, both the actors breached the commitment."
The letter also gave a 15-day ultimatum for the actors.
Contacted, Apu said: "I could not make it happen due to my pregnancy. But, I can start the work anytime as I have already made my return in the industry."
However, Shakib could not be reached for comments.
