LRB founder and legendary singer Ayub Bachchu’s son Ahnaf Tazwar Ayub requested the countrymen to pray for his father’s departed soul.
“Forgive my father if he hurts anyone unintentionally or mistakenly,” he added.
Ahnaf Tazwar Ayub further said: “He (Ayub Bachchu) loves people through his songs and music. Please pray for my father’s departed soul.”
Ayub Bachchu and also the founder of the country's one of the leading bands, LRB, passed away on October 18 (Thursday). He was 60.
He breathed his last in the capital's Square Hospitals around 10 am on the day.
According to family sources, he was found unconscious inside his room in the capital's Moghbazar area on the day morning and was rushed to the hospital where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
His first namaz-e-janaza was held on Friday in the capital when people from all walks of life paid their last tributes to the great soul.
He was buried beside his mother at the family graveyard in Chattogram on Saturday.
Born in Chattogram, the popular singer started his music career there with the band, Feelings, in 1978. He was a member of Souls as lead guitarist from 1980 to 1990. In 1991, he formed his own band, LRB.
LRB released its first album containing hard rock songs like "Madhobi" "Hoker" "Sesh Cithi keno amon Cithi hoy" "Happy" and "Dhakar Sondha".
