Nurul Islam Nahid hands over results to PM this morning

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the copies of the results of SSC and its equivalent examinations to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday morning at her official residence Gonobhaban in the capital.

Results are available in online after 2pm

The prime minister has unveiled the results digitally after getting it from the education minister, which is now available online after 2pm, showing 77.77 pass percentage under the 10 educational boards.


77.77% pass in SSC, equivalent tests

77.77 percent students have successfully been passed in this year’s SSC and its equivalent examinations and this is the lowest in nine years in the country while the pass rate was 80.35 percent last year.

Pass rate in 10 education boards

The pass rate of the 10 education boards are- Dhaka, 81.48%; Sylhet; 70.43%; Dinajpur, 77.62%; Rajshahi, 86.07%; Cumilla, 80.40%; Barisal, 77.11%; Jessore, 73.67% and Chittagong, 75.50%.

77.77 pc pass rate in SSC not too low: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today said that the 77.77 percent pass rate in this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent exams, is not too low.


1,10,629 got GPA-5

A total of 1,10,629 students have got the highest Grade Point Average (GPA-5) in the examinations, according to the ministry of education.

20,31,889 students appear in the exams

A total of 20,31,889 students, including 10,23,212 boys and 10,08,687 girls, appeared in the examinations this year, the ministry sources said.

The Education Ministry sources also said 16,27,378 students appeared in the SSC examination under the eight general education boards this year while 2,89,752 in Dakhil examination under Madrasah Education Board and 1,14,769 in vocational examination under Bangladesh Technical Education Board.

109 schools have zero pass rate

A total of 109 schools have zero pass rates this year while 2,266 schools have secured the 100 percent pass rate.

The students can get the results from their respective school while it will also be available on www.educationboardresults.gov.bd website.

They can also get their results by typing: [SSC/DAKHIL first three letters of the board's name roll number2018] and sending the message to 16222.
