Popular music composer Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul, who is adorned for his evergreen compositions, has been diagnosed with a total of eight blocks in his heart.
The noted Bangladeshi lyricist, composer and also a music director, who is active since the late 1970s, came up with the information through a Facebook post published on May 15 (yesterday).
“I was a prosecution witness in the war crimes case in 2012 as per government’s directives but I never believed my younger brother Miraz would be killed for that deposition,” Bulbul wrote.
Taking to Facebook, he also expressed his grief and said: “I have sought justice from the government over the murder but I did not get it and now I have been confined to my house since last six years along with my only son under the security of police.”
“It’s a miserable chapter of my life,” the lyrist echoed.
“I am now seriously ill and I have eight blocks in my heart after having been confined in the house for six years,” he added. “I cannot be cured without a bypass surgery.”
“I was admitted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of Ibrahim Cardiac for four days,” he said further and sought prayers from his fans.

Police had recovered the body of Ahmed Miraz, the younger brother of freedom fighter Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul, from near Kuril flyover in the city on March 10, 2013.
Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul was a prosecution witness in the war crimes case against former Jamaat chief Ghulam Azam.
