Dhallywood actress Apu Biswas, who recently received divorce notice from her star husband Shakib Khan, sought Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's intervention over the issue.
She said: "Neither I accept Shakib's decision of getting separated from me nor I will take any legal step in this regard. Rather, I want to continue my family life with him peacefully."
"I will not knock the doors of the court until I manage to resolve the issue by negotiation. I seek Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's intervention over the issue," added Apu.
She continued: "I am Apu Biswas, one of the most familiar faces in the country. If I am going through such tough thing, what do the other woman face? And I want PM's intervention in order to create an example for other common women in the country."
Dhallywood star Shakib Khan is going to put an end to his marriage with his actress wife Apu Biswas.
Actor Shakib Khan, who is now in Hyderabad, the capital city of the southern Indian state of Telangana, on Tuesday told Kalerkantho that he signed the divorce letter before he departed the country.
Shakib Khan and Apu got married on April 18, 2008 and they kept the marriage news secret until Apu disclosed their marriage before media on April 10 this year.
