The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a lawsuit against the United Hospital for allegedly evading Tk. 21 crore tax.
ACC Deputy Director Md Mahbubul Alam filed the case with Gulshan Police Station on Thursday.
According to the First Information Record (FIR), an ACC investigation team found that the hospital did not pay Tk. 21, 44, 26,993 tax since 2011.
The six-member committee placed charges against Managing Director of United Hospital Faridur Rahman Khan, and a former Dhaka City Corporation Commissioner and a member of Assessment Review Board (ARB) of Dhaka City Corporation Rahima Begum for their alleged involvement with the tax evasion.
