Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said today he does not see any necessity of holding dialogues before the parliamentary election as it is organised during the acute crisis.
He made the remarks in a press conference at the office of Party's president in the city, responding to the BNP General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s call for holding a dialogue.
Earlier in the day, Fakhrul said the PM should take initiatives for a dialogue with all stakeholders if she sincerely thought about the poll-time government.
Obaidul Quader said: "It will be the biggest mistake if BNP does not attend the upcoming election as the polls will be organised as per the rules of the constitution."
"People will confront BNP if they appear again in any fire-terrorist activity. They will not be able to make the country violent anymore," he added.
