Former President of India Pranab Mukharjee has arrived Dhaka in a private visit today.
A flight of Jet Airways carrying the Indian politician landed at Shahjalala International Airport around 4 pm. Foreign Minister AH Mahmud Ali welcomed him at the airport.
He will attend a literary conference and courtesy meeting with President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during his four- day visit.
He will also pay a visit to Chittagong University to attend a special convocation where he will be honoured with D Lit degree.
He will also visit Dhanmondi-32’s Bangabandhu Memorial Museum to pay homage to the father of the nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
He will later attend a dinner party hosted by Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith.
Pranab Mukharjee will leave Dhaka on January 18.
