The Ministry of Education on Thursday transferred its 23 officials, who allegedly kept their posting in the capital in an unethical way for a long time, including Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid’s former assistant personal secretary (APS) from the capital.
Education Minister’s former assistant personal officer, college and school inspector of Dhaka Education Board, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Department Director are on the transfer list, according to a gazette issued by the ministry.
The Gazette said, eight officials of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Department, nine officers of National Curriculum Text Book (NCTB), six officers of Dhaka Education Board, one officer of Inspection and Auditing Department and six other officials of an education board were transferred.
"Some officials of the education department kept their posting in Dhaka by influencing the authorities for a long time. Some of them were allegedly involved with corruption," an officer of the education ministry told the Kalerkantho seeking anonymity.
