A trial court has fixed May 6 for delivering its verdict against Khadiza Akhter Sumi, a domestic help of Oishee Rahman, a convict in the case filed for the murders of her parents in August 2013.
Judge Al Mamun of the first Addition District and Session Judge Court of Dhaka fixed the date today.
Oishee Rahman killed her parents – Mahfuzur Rahman, an inspector of police’s special branch, and Swapna Rahman – in 2013. The bodies of the couple were recovered at their Chamelibagh residence in Dhaka on August 16, 2013.
Later, detectives pressed charges against Oishee, her two friends Asaduzzaman Johnny and Mizanur Rahman Roni, and household help Sumi, now on the bail, in the case.
According to the charge sheets, Oishee killed her parents while Jony instigated her, she concealed the bodies with the help of Sumi and Rony gave her shelter after the twin murder.
