One killed in N’ganj ‘gunfight’

An accused of riffle looting case was killed in a tripartite 'gunfight' among two terrorist groups and police in Dapa Alamin Nagar area under Fatullah upazila of Narayanganj early Wednesday. 

The deceased is identified as Parvez, son of Sobhan Miah, of Fatullah Dapa area, also an accused of a riffle looting case from police. 

Confirming the information, Fatullah Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mojibur Rahman said: “Police conducted a drive on the spot when two groups of mugger were exchanging fire. Sensing law enforcers’ presence, the muggers opened fire at them, prompting a retaliation that triggered a gunfight." 

"At one stage, Parvez was caught in the line of fire," the OC added. 

Earlier on May 14, a case was filled with Fatullah Model Police Station over looting a rifle from police against Parvez and his two other cohorts.
