The leaders of BNP are set to take Iftar with orphans and alem-olamas (Islamic scholars) on the first day of Ramadan today.
BNP will host the Iftar party in honour of them at the city's Ladies Club.
Orphans, including boys and girls, from three orphanages in the capital as well as alem-olama from various areas will attend the Iftar party.
A special munajat will be offered before the Iftar seeking divine blessings for peace and progress of the country and its people.
BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, who is serving her time in jail now, has greeted the countrymen and all Muslims across the world on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
