Daily Kalerkantho’s Executive Editor Mostofa Kamal has been honoured with special recognition for his outstanding contribution in the field of journalism and literature.

Popular Bangladeshi author and also a renowned journalist Mostofa Kamal will be honored with a special crest at an international seminar in Kolkata on May 26 (tomorrow).

Dhaka based newsportal Bahumatrik.com and Kolkata based weekly Alipur Barta are going to organized the seminar, marking the 119th birth anniversary of Bangladesh’s National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, titled ‘Bhag Hoyni K’ Nazrul’.

The seminar will be held at the Ashutosh Birth Centenary Auditorium in the city on the day.

Former Kolkata University Professor Dr Shankar Ghosh, acting Registrar of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) Dr Humayun Kabir and Bahumatrik.com Editor In Chief Ashraful Islam from Bangladesh will read out the papers in the seminar.

West Bengal Power Minister Sovandeb Chattopadhyay will attend the seminar as chief guest while West Bengal State University Prof. Basab Chaudhuri (Vice Chancellor) and Indian Museum Director Rajesh Purohit will also present among others in the seminar.

Mostofa Kamal, however, won’t attend the seminar for unavoidable reasons but other Bangladeshi guests will receive the crest on behalf of him.
