Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will receive an honorary D. Litt degree from Kazi Nazrul Islam University in West Bengal of India.
The University authorities will award the degree to the Bangladesh prime minister in a special convocation where West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and other distinguished guests will be present.
Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi inaugurated Bangladesh Bhaban at Shantiniketan, approximately 180 km north of West Bengal capital of Kolkata.
The Bangladesh prime minister reached in West Bengal yesterday morning on a two-day official visit to India at the invitation of Narendra Modi.
The prime minister and her entourage will arrive here in Dhaka after wrapping up visit this evening.
