BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is being taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) today for medical check-up as her doctors claimed that she had suffered mild stroke in the jail, says Law Minister Anisul Huq.
He came up with the disclosure while talking to journalists at his office in the Secretariat on Sunday.
The Minister said: “The jail authorities will take BNP chairperson to Bangabandhu Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) for some medical tests. Jail doctors delivered primary treatment after to Khaleda Zia after she felt sick yesterday.”
On February 8, Special Judge's Court-5 of Dhaka sentenced Khaleda to five years' rigorous imprisonment after it had found her and five others guilty in the graft case.
