Singer Asif Akbar, who was arrested in a music piracy case, has got bail with a bondage of Tk 10000.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Keshab Roy Chowdhury approved the bail on Monday until the police report of the case is submitted.
Earlier on June 6, a team of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police arrested popular singer Asif Akbar from his Tejgaon music studio in a case filed by musician Shafiq Tuhin under the ICT Act over the allegation of threatening and using of his music property for business purpose without his permission.
On the same day, CID produced Asif Akbar before the court of Keshab Roy Chowdhury with a five-day remand plea.
However, the court rejected the remand plea and sent him to the jail.
