The movements the special trains have been started from Kamalapur Railway Station for Eid-ul-Fitr holidaymakers.
The first special train left Kamalapur towards Dewanganj of Jamalpur at 9am on Wednesday.
The authorities of Bangladesh Railway have organised the special trains on several routes across the country to ensure hassle-free journey for the holidaymakers.
Around 100,000 people will leave Dhaka today by trains to enjoy Eid-ul-Fitr with their family and relatives, according to the information of railway.
Kamalapur Railway Station Manager Sitangshu Chakraborty said: “Special trains on several routes have been started from today which will be continued up to seven days after the eid. We have launched special train on Dhaka-Khulna rout for the first time.”
“Railway authorities started selling tickets of special trains on June 10. Passengers can collect return ticket of the special trains from the respective stations,” he added.
