At least 41 Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims died as of August 15 this year. due to sickness and old-age complications.
According to an announcement at the bulletin of the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ Hajj Management Department, 34 pilgrims were male while seven were female.
The bulletin says 34 died in Makkah, five in Madinah and two in Jeddah while 17 other pilgrims are currently hospitalised in Saudi Arabia.

This year a total of 123,876 Hajj pilgrims reached Saudi Arabia while 606 missed the opportunity.
