Two bodies recovered from Gazipur madrasah

Police have recovered two bodies from a madrasah in Gazipur on Monday morning.

The deceased are identified as-- Mahmuda Akter, 25, wife of Ibrahim Khalil, principal of Gazipur Huffazul Quran Madrasah and Mamun, 7, son of Shahid, a student of the same madrasah, hailing from Gafargaon upazila of Mymensingh district.    

Md Rafiqul Islam, a ward councillor of Gazipur City Corporation (GCC) said: "Huffazul Quran Madrasha principal Ibrahim Khalil and his wife Mahmuda Akter were living in the madrasah along with Mahmuda's nephew Mamun, who was also a student of the madrasah."

"On Tuesday morning, some miscreants chopped Mahmuda and Mamun to death and flew away. Later, locals revealed them dead and informed the police," he added.   

Being informed, police recovered the bodies, said Bashan Police Station Officer-in-Charge Muktar Hussain.
