A trial court has deferred the hearing on bail petition of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia in Cumilla arson case on September 30.
Magistrate Gulam Mahbu Khan of Senior Judicial Magistrate Court-5 passed the order today.
Khaleda Zia's lawyer Advocate Kaimul Haq Rinku has confirmed the news to the journalists.
Earlier on February 3, 2015, eight people were killed and 20 others injured when miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at a bus at Jogmohanpur in Chouddagram of Cumilla district during the BNP-led alliance's movement.
Two cases were filed against Khaleda in this connection.
Khaleda landed in jail on February 8 after she was sentenced the five-year jail sentence by a Dhaka court for misappropriating a donation fund of the Zia Orphanage Trust.
