The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court (SC) has ordered the authorities concerned to return the passport of Nagorik Oikya Convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna for three months so that he can go abroad for medical treatment.
The apex court passed the order today, responding to a plea filed by the politician.
Confirming the news, Manna's lawyer Dr Shahdeen Malik said: "Manna submitted the passport to the department concerned as he was granted a conditional bail. Earlier, he withdrew his passport once for three months for the same purpose."
