The police have recovered a sizeable cache of locally-made weapons, including 20 machetes, from five dormitories in Chittagong University (CU).
The law enforcers conducted several raids in five halls--Shah Amanat Hall, Suhrawardy Hall, AF Rahman Hall, Alawal Hall and Shaheed Abdur Rab Hall-- around 4 pm on Thursday and recovered the weapons.

The police have picked up two students from Suhrawardy Hall in connection with a clash the same day.
