The deceased is--Ashim Roy Babu, 29, son of Gurusdoy Roy, of Banshkhali upazila in the district.

Confirming the news, Mimtanur Rahman, assistant director (media) of Rab-7, said: "Acting on a tip-off, Rab-7 members raided the area in order to arrest some drug traders around 11:45 pm on Thursday. At one stage the elite force members challenged a private car."
