Five Titas Gas officials suspended for corruption

The authorities of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited temporarily suspended 5 of its officials over irregularities and corruption charge.

The decision came up today form the authorities concerned following the irregularities over keeping money of "Social Security Fund" to a special bank.


Earlier on September 20, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) summoned eight Titas Gas officials, including its managing director, to interrogate them over corruption charge.

Later on October 4, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) sent a letter to immigration police seeking a ban of five officials from going abroad.

The five officials who were prohibited to go abroad are-- Titas Gas MD Mir Mashiur Rahman, Deputy General Manager SM Abdul Wadud, Narayanganj branch General Manager Shafiqur Rahman, Engineering Service Manager Shahajada Faraji and Assitant Officer Abu Siddique Tayani.
