Two suspected female Neo-JMB operatives, who are wanted in Holey Artisan Bakery attack case, surrendered themselves to the law enforcers in Narsingdi's Madhabdi.
They are--Khadiza Akhter Meghna, 25, and Mou, 20, who are students of Manarat International University.
Confirming the news, Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) Unit chief of DMP Monirul Islam said: "They surrendered around 2:30 pm today, some 40 hours after the law enforcers cordoned off the seven-storied building that housed the militant hideout."
"They have been sent to Dhaka for further interrogation,” he added.
The "militants" rented the two flats, one in Madhabdi and another in Shekher Char, on October 5, said police officials.
According to police sources, Meghla’s husband is also an active member of Neo-JMB.
"We have also recovered a couple of bombs from the militant hideout and are trying to defuse those,” Monirul added.
Soon after they were captured, the female militants were put on a special vehicle of Special Weapons and Tactic (SWAT) team with helmets on their heads and taken away from the scene swiftly.
A case was filed under the anti-terrorism act with Madhabdi Police Station against the duo.
Yesterday, two other suspected Neo-JMB members, including a woman, were killed in an explosion during a drive at a militant den in Shekher Char area of Narsingdi Sadar upazila.
