Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) has imposed a ban on motor vehicles for 24 hours from December 29 midnight for the national election.
A BRTA press release confirmed the ban today ahead of the general election slated to be held on December 30.
According to the release, the ban on the election day, will be applicable on motor-run three-wheelers, auto-rickshaws, bike, taxi cab, microbus, jeep, pickup, car, bus, truck, tempo, and easy bike and locally made different types of vehicles driven by the motor.
The ban on motorcycles, however, will be on for three days.
“The ban will have also to be imposed on motorcycles from December 28 midnight to January 1 midnight,” the release added.
